It is a puppet-theatre performance with puppets in different sizes (puppets with strings and Marot puppets). During the performance, the scenery is constantly changing. Story telling techniques combined with shadow theatre techniques are used.

The story is based in a traditional myth of Norway and it’s about a boy with “magical fingers”. He is a kind and a hard-working boy who wants to become a violinist. Despite that he has to overcome lots of troubles, he is determined to succeed! A beautiful story about music and the power of human will!

The company

Antama Pantahou Puppet Theatre lab was established in 1992 by Nikos Tompros and Eleni Panagiotou at Northern Evoia in Greece. One of their main concerns is their constant education in order to evolve in puppet manufacturing and puppet animation techniques.

Antamapantahou working methods combine a variety of puppet theater, pantomime and physical theater techniques. Their performances are being developed in a way that emphasises on the relationship between the puppet and the puppeteer.

Since 1994 they have been performing in streets, theaters, schools and international puppet festivals in Greece and Europe. They have also participated in the Cultural Olympiad Programme. They are interested in combining puppet theatre with other forms of Art thus they have co-operated with outstanding Greek musicians and theatre groups. They also organize seminars for children and adults.
